ouncil Grove is accessible off I-70, I-35, or the Kansas turnpike and is only 17 miles from America's Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve - Z Bar Ranch. When you are traveling through Kansas, Council Grove and The Cottage House Hotel Bed and Breakfast offer you a grand opportunity to take a step back in time, without sacrificing such amenities as high-speed wireless Internet in your room.

Guests will find coffee, tea, trail mix, and Vending Machines available in the "Breakfast Serving Room" South of the Main Lobby 24/7.

Each morning our Breakfast is set up for guests staying in the Restored Prairie Victorian B&B and Honeymoon Cottage. This is a "serve yourself" breakfast of Made from scratch Sausage Gravy, Biscuits, Muffins, and an egg casserole. We have Farm Fresh Boiled Free Range Chicken eggs from a certified local farm, juice, in season fresh fruit, bagels, bread, canned fruit (peaches, fruit cocktail, or tropical), trailmix, yogurt, Oatmeal and dry cereal. Guests are welcome to take breakfast to their room or eat at the dining table in the North lobby. Our Motel guests are welcome to come inside and enjoy our breakfast for $4.00 per person.

Our Signature gazebo style porch is popular day and night with our guests. There is something relaxing about a "front porch" that everyone seems to enjoy.
